Smart Girl - face to Face workshop for Adolescent girls

 Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan, in association with IQAC, Career Guidance and Placement Cell, POSH and Anti Ragging Cell of Sarada Vilas College organized a two-day "Smart Girl" workshop on October 3, 2024 and October 4, 2024, focused on empowering adolescent girls by addressing their unique challenges. Sri. N. Chandrashekar, Hon. Secretary of SVEI, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of guiding girls through the mental and physical changes they experience during adolescence. He praised the decision to hold such workshops, noting the significant time adolescents spend in college, making it an ideal setting for these discussions. Dr. M. Devika, who presided over the ceremony, highlighted the necessity of self-awareness, maintaining healthy relationships, and making informed decisions during this critical period.

The workshop, led by resource person Smt. Sangeeta Srisrisrimal, covered key topics over two days, including self-awareness, menstrual health, hygiene, decision-making, friendships, communication, and self-defense. Parents also participated in a discussion with their daughters. The workshop concluded with a valedictory session where Smt. Srisrisrimal was felicitated. Around 40 first-year B.Sc., B.C.A., and B.Sc. (Hons) students attended the interactive and activity-filled workshop.

The placement cell of Sarada Vilas College is collaborating with IfAS, Pune from past two years for orienting students about the various nationwide examinations and other opportunities in higher education after B.Sc. This year, a webinar was organized on 18/03/2024 for final students on Examinations that the students can take after B.Sc. for entering into various institutions across the country for their Masters. Mr. Mohith Patidar, in the given time, explained about various exams such as IIT-JAM, JEST and TIFR. IIT JAM being the most taken exam, Mr. Patidar explained about the structure of the paper of IIT JAM. He explained in general the common elements which appeared across all subjects and then showed how students can analyze the paper by taking Biotechnology as an example.

Career Guidance session on Competitive Examinations and Job Opportunities

On 21/11/2023, the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Sarada Vilas, as an IQAC initiative, organized a career guidance session for the final year B.Com, B.B.A and B.Sc. students in association with Rankbook Learning and Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. This was a one hour session from 12:30 pm where the students were guided on various available job opportunities and also were motivated by the resource person Mr. Francis M. K., Founder & CEO of Rankbook Learning & Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Resource person also discussed about the various upcoming examinations.

CPBFI Batch - 3

Under the MoU with Bajaj Finserv, the 3rd Batch of CPBFI was planned in the November of 2023. The final year students of B.Com and B.B.A were oriented for the same on November 3, 2023. However, due to the semester examinations, the batch could not be commenced. The batch was launched with 34 interested students on 29th January 2024. On the same day, the course began on the offline mode. The course ran, almost on offline mode (except for one module) till 20th of February.
