Career Guidance & Placement

Under the MoU with Bajaj Finserv, the 3rd Batch of CPBFI was planned in the November of 2023. The final year students of B.Com and B.B.A were oriented for the same on November 3, 2023. However, due to the semester examinations, the batch could not be commenced. The batch was launched with 34 interested students on 29th January 2024. On the same day, the course began on the offline mode. The course ran, almost on offline mode (except for one module) till 20th of February.

On 21/11/2023, the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Sarada Vilas, as an IQAC initiative, organized a career guidance session for the final year B.Com, B.B.A and B.Sc. students in association with Rankbook Learning and Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. This was a one hour session from 12:30 pm where the students were guided on various available job opportunities and also were motivated by the resource person Mr. Francis M. K., Founder & CEO of Rankbook Learning & Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Resource person also discussed about the various upcoming examinations. 

Continuing the collaboration with the Mahindra Gourps and Naandi Foundation, Sarada Vilas College organized the second training on Employability Skills for girls of final year in 2023. This was a part of the project named Mahindra Pride Classroom. This time, the training was for 5 days from 3rd October 2023 to 7th October 2023. The workshop was inaugurated on 3rd October 2023 by Sri. N. Chandrashekar, Hon. Secretary, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions. 

 Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan, in association with IQAC, Career Guidance and Placement Cell, POSH and Anti Ragging Cell of Sarada Vilas College organized a two-day "Smart Girl" workshop on October 3, 2024 and October 4, 2024, focused on empowering adolescent girls by addressing their unique challenges. Sri. N. Chandrashekar, Hon. Secretary of SVEI, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of guiding girls through the mental and physical changes they experience during adolescence. He praised the decision to hold such workshops, noting the significant time adolescents spend in college, making it an ideal setting for these discussions. Dr. M. Devika, who presided over the ceremony, highlighted the necessity of self-awareness, maintaining healthy relationships, and making informed decisions during this critical period.

The Certificate Course in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) by Bajaj Finserv for the Batch 2 was launched on  13/07/2023 on Microsoft Teams. As a part of formality, after welcoming all the guests, Yathirajsharma M. V., introduced the key persons present in the launch. This was followed by the official launch of Batch II by playing a video of introduction to CPBFI. Ms. Archana then discussed with the students about CPBFI, its importance and the roles of students. Dr. Devika and Dr. Sathyanarayana also addressed the students on this occasion. Student Coordinators were also chosen. Vinu Christo and Bhavana were chosen as student coordinators.

     With the help of one of the alumni of Sarada Vilas College, Prof. Praveen C. Ramamurthy, IISc., Sarada Vilas College organized an orientation session on GATE-JAM 2024 for the students of science stream (Both B.Sc. and M.Sc.) on 26th June 2023. This was an outreach program of IISc. Dr. Ritendar Kaur oriented the students on various aspects of GATE-JAM, starting from the structure of the exams till the ways for preparations. Dr. Ritendar Kaur was assisted by Dr. Simranjeet Singh. 157 students of B.Sc.and M.Sc. had participated in the event. Dr. M. Devika presided the initial stage program. Members of placement cell and few teachers had attended the session. 

After the completion of the first batch, an orientation to the the Bajaj Finserv's Certificate Program in Banking Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) for the second batch of students was organized as per the MoU between Sarada Vilas and Bajaj Finser.v The orientation was organized on 19/06/2023 for the first year M. Com students. Totally 50 students had participated in the orientation out of which 46 students got enrolled for the course.  In the presence of Sri. N. Chandrashekhar, Hon. Secretary, SVEI,  Dr. M. Devika, Principal Sarada Vilas College and the members of placement Cell, certificates were issued to the students of the first batch who had completed the course.  Ms. Rahsmi Mansukhan, Project Head, CSR initiatives, Walchand Plus, oriented the students online through Microsoft teams.   On 24th May, 2023, the Career Guidance and Placement cell of Sarada Vilas College organized a special discussion session on Mental Health in association with the Zayel Organization powered by orbfocus healthcare. The objective of the event was to spread awareness among students regarding the importance of healthcare and to create a platform to speak up openly regarding the same. Nearly 100 B.Sc. students made use of the session.  Dr. Neha Dechamma, Clinical Psychologist at Prerana Hospital, Mysuru was the resource person. Dr. Neha initially spoke about the importance of mental health, signs and symptoms of mental health disturbance and the measures that could be taken to keep mental health in a balanced state. The session was quite interactive. Students were given the chances in between to ask questions and many students asked questions related to mental wellbeing. In association with the Naandi Foundation of Telangana, as a part of Mahindra Pride Classroom for women empowerment, the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Sarada Vilas College organized one week training for the final year girls on employability skills from 7/11/2022 to 12/11/2022. 

As an IQAC initiative, the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Sarada Vilas College organized a workshop on scope in pharmaceutical industry (marketing) for final year students on 20/10/2022. Sri. Gururaja, founder of Inception Pharma Nucleus was invited as the resource person. Speaking on this occasion,  Hon. Secretary of SVEI, Sri. N. Chandrashekar stressed on the necessity of such career guidance programs for the graduates. Dr. Sathyanarayana also spoke on the occasion highlighting the struggles he had faced during his graduation time. The resource person was felicitated by the dignitaries and this was followed by the session.
